In Mechelen the prize Léon Melchior has just ended. This class was a class for stallions only and was jumped over a height of 1m45. This class resulted in a great winner: Christian Ahlmann, the son in law of Melchior, managed to win the class.

With this time he beat Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, who came back earlier from holiday to ride in Mechelen. The Brazilian rider ended on second place with Diesel GP du Bois Madame (f. Cassius). They jumped a clear jump-off in 35,51 seconds. Gudrun Patteet was the best Belgian rider on third place. She cleared the course with Sea Coast Valdelamadre Clooney (f. Centeuer Z) and finished in 36,25 seconds.
Olivier Philippaerts and H&M Extra (f. Berlin) ended on fourth place. Niels Bruynseels took account of the fifth place with di Cantero van Ter Hulst Z (f. Diamant de Semilly).
