The lasgclass of the day has just ended in Mechelen. It was a CSI5* class: the BWM masters. 9 combinaties entered the show ground for this class. Four of them managed to jump several clear rounds and came back for the all-deciding last round.
Olivier Philippaerts was the first rider to enter the show ground with the 12-year old BWP gelding Hurricane (f. Numero Uno) and he immediately managed to ride a very fast clear round. He cleared the course in 36,86 seconds, resulting in the third place on the podium. Niels Bruynsseels, another Belgian top rider, went fast as lightening as well with Delux van T&L (f. Toulon) and finished in 31,89 seconds, good for the second place in the overall standings. Pieter Devos and Jade vd Bisschop (f. Ogano Sitte) did ride the fastest time of all riders, but a jumping penalty on the first element of the double resulted in a fourth place.
Daniel Deusser was the last rider to enter the ring. He and Kiana vh Herdershof (f. Toulon), a 9-year old BWP mare, rode an even faster round than Bruynsseels. He took the victory by crossing the finish line in 30,91 seconds.
