Ingrid Klimke withdraws Franziskus FRH from German Nations Cup team for CHIO Aachen after injury

Ingrid Klimke will not be seen with Franziskus FRH at the CHIO Aachen. The 15-year-old stallion has injured himself, the rider herself reports on her social media.

"This morning I worked with Franziskus together with our federal trainers and he was fresh and motivated! On the way back to the stables he must have hurt himself and he clearly showed it!", sounds the message from Ingrid Klimke.

"Franz's well-being is the absolute priority and we have cancelled our participation in the Nations Cup team for Germany in consultation with the team vet and the national trainers...", is the final decision.

The two are a loss for the German team as the pair achieved the bronze medal with their Freestyle at the German Championships of Balve. Their place in the German Nations Cup team will be taken by Sönke Rothenberger and Fendi.
