In 's Hertogenbosch the Rolex Grand Slam for showjumping riders kicked-off with a 1.40m class. It was home-rider, Leopold van Asten who jumped to glory aboard his 9-year-old VDL Groep Iron Z. Together with the son of Charisma Z, the former Dutch national showjumping champion was 0,6 seconds faster as the runner-up.
The top three riders finished with less than a second difference from each other. France's Roger-Yves Bost placed in second place with the daughter of Miami de Semilly, Urane. The top three was completed by Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano aboard his KWPN-gelding, Julius.D (Arezzo VDL).
Together with the gelding, bred by H.V. Dael, the Italian showjumper referred Belgium's Gregory Wathelet to the fourth spot with Melia de Regor (Elvis Ter Putte). The 10-year-old mare was before competed by Manuel Thiry. Simon Delestre completed the top five with his trusted Hermes Ryan (Hugo Gesmeray).
