In Great-Britain's capital, London, the 1.50m Equine Snowflake Stakes was ridden over two rounds. Four combinations decided not to start the second round. Eventually it was Italy's Lorenzo de Luca and the 14-year-old Violino Il Palazetto (Verdi TN, breeder: Maria Rosaria Il Palazzetto di Marzotto) jumping to victory!
De Luca and the 14-year-old gelding were just not three seconds faster as home-rider, Matthew Sampson aboard Ebolensky (Clinton). Earlier this week SF EQuestrian-rider, Jur Vrieling jumped to victory in the international opening class. Today the Dutch showjumping rider, settled for the third spot aboard his 8-year-old Lhynara (Lyjanero).
Vrieling and the 8-year-old mare jumped one rail down. With only 0.05 seconds difference, Swiss rider, Martin Fuchs followed aboard Viper Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles).
The top five was completed by Belgium's Olivier Philippaerts and the 8-year-old BWP-mare, Precious Dwerse Hagen (Cornet Obolensky).
