Only three combinations managed to qualify for the Jump-Off in the 1.50m Grand Prix in Riyadh. In this CSI5* Grand Prix all three managed to produce a double clear. In the end, Germany's Christian Ahlmann and the 9-eyar-old Otterongo Alpha Z (breeder: Josef Poets) jumped to victory.
Earlier Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano won the 1.50m qualifier. Aboard his trusted 14-year-old Chalou (Chacco-Blue, breeder: Paul Schockemöhle), Gaudiano settled as runner-up in the Grand Prix.
The pair was followed by France's Simon Delestre aboard the 9-year-old BWP-mare, Olga van de Kruishoeve (El Torreo de Muze, breeder: Eric Polfliet).
With one time penalty in the first round, Qatari, Rashif Towaim Ali Al Marri and Concordess NRW (Congress 4) followed, referring Thailand's Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj with Maxwin Kinmar Agalux (Aganix du Seigneur) to the fifth spot.
