Marcus Ehning rode two horses clear to the finish line in the first class of the German Championships. For now, the German rider puts himself at one and two in the standings.
First up was Priam du Roset (by Plot Blue) to start under Ehning. The 12-year-old gelding did not make a mistake and finished in 67.16 seconds. A little later Ehning put in Flower Girl 13 (by Hickstead) and managed to do even better. They rode the winning round in 65.94 seconds.
With about forty hundredths difference on Ehning's second fastest time came Carsten-Otto Nagel on three in the saddle of GK Curacoa (by Clarimo), they too stayed double clear. Maurice Tebbel is also still in the running for the gold after a clear passage on Chacco's Light 3 (by Chacco's Son I). The top five was decided by Manuel Beeker with Chacci (by Cornet's Prinz).
Simone Blum strongest woman
The German Championship is still traditionally ridden separately for men and women. Still, riders have the choice to compete in the men's, something Simone Blum ventured into. For now, the rider is handsomely stabled at ten with Ciara PS (by Conthargos).
