At the Andalucia Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, the CSI4* Equine America Big Tour Grand Prix just came to a thrilling close. This 1.55m course, also counting for the Longines Ranking, seemed to be a very challenging one. With only five combinations making it to the jump-off, three riders managed to ride a double clear round. Ultimately it became a battle of the Brazilian riders where Pedro Veniss and Yuri Mansur fought for victory.
Pedro Veniss and Nimrod de Muze Z (by Nabab de Reve) recorded the fastest time of 38,91 seconds and were just too fast for Yuri Mansur and his ten year old Humberto ASK (by Cornet Obolensky). Mansur and Humberto rode to second place in 39,67 seconds. Cameron Hanley and ESI Toulouse (by SIEC Livello) completed the top three with a time of 40,21 seconds.
Leopold van Asten (VDL Groep Miss Untouchable) flew around the jump-off in the fastest time of 36,43 seconds but had one rail down, which resulted in a fourth place. Pierre Alain Mortier (Just Do It R) came in fifth.
