Robert Whitaker keeps Italian crowd from the win in Montefalco

In today's 1.45m Longines Ranking it was Great-Britain's Robert Whitaker who speeded to  victory aboard his 10-year-old Vermento (Argento). The pair was 0.03 seconds faster as Italy's own, Guido Franchi.

The Italian competitors completed the top five. Guido Franchi followed with his Kannan-son, Enjoy One as runner-up. Emanuele Gaudiano completed the stage with his 12-year-old Stalensky PS (Stakkatol).

The pair was followed by Christian Fioravanti aboard Double Push (Cascadell) in fourth and Alfonso Antonio with Harrie (Harmony) in fifth.
