At the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, the day just ended with the Small Grand Prix of the CSI4* competition. In this Grand Prix it was jumped over a height of 1m45. No fewer than 15 combinations managed to record a clear round behind their name. A busy jump-off therefore had to decide the winner and loser. In that jump-off, former world number one Steve Guerdat drew the longest straw. He claimed victory by jumping a clear round in 36.28 seconds. He counted on Lucky Fauntleroy (by Lord Fauntleroy) to do so.
In turn, Henk van de Pol was good for second place. His BWP rider No Fathers Girl (by Verdo Gaio) did not come close to the wood and stopped the chrono after 36.97 seconds. Kars Bonhof completed the Dutch party. He counted on Ivory TN (by Eldorado vd Zeshoek) to jump a clear round in 37.21 seconds. This earned him third place.
Kendra Claricia Brinkop became the best rider in fourth place. She counted on Ma Belle (by Ugano Sitte) to jump a clear round in 37.82 seconds. Mariano Martinez Bastidao and Quark de Preuilly Z (by Quaprice Bois Margot) was fifth after a nice clear round in 38.01 seconds.
