Alberto Zorzi is now officially a Team Scuderia 1918 rider thereby adding another Italian to a team that now includes the top riders of Italian show jumping. After Piergiorgio Bucci joining the string of Scuderia riders last week, Zorzi is now also welcomed to the team. Scuderia will therefore be seeing Giulia Martinengo Marquet, Lorenzo De Luca, Piergiorgio Bucci and Alberto Zorzi riding for Scuderia 1918’s colours in shows all over the world, alongside the team’s other world class riders Kevin Staut and Daniel Deusser.
In returning to Italy after living in Valkenswaard at Stal Tops in Holland, where he rode for Jan Tops, Alberto Zorzi has turned his life and career around to start a new adventure. Born in Padova in 1989, the Italian Army rider Alberto Zorzi has now returned to his home soil in Italiy, establishing his new headquarters in stables in Monteviale near Vicenza. From here, he will start over with new horses aiming for important competitive results.
“I am really happy to have joined Team Scuderia 1918, a group of exceptional riders who are also all my friends. This is going to be a great team and we will certainly do our very best. The dream is always the same, and that means riding in the Olympic Games. This will require a great deal of work, training important horses so as to participate in great sport. Once this is achieved, we can think about the Olympics. So initially we will work on producing great horses to then continue our careers together. I will continue to ride wearing my Italian Army uniform and am very grateful to the army for always supporting the choices I make", Alberto Zorzi told Scuderia 1918.
