Australia sends 66-year-old rider to Olympics

The Australians have announced which three riders will represent their country in Tokyo. Simon Pearce (Destano) and Kelly Layne (Samhitas) are both making their Olympic debuts. They will be joined by Mary Hanna (Calanta). Hanna is 66 years old and is expecting her fourth grandchild soon.

Mary Hanna is not a novice: she has competed at the Games no less than five times, the last time in Rio in 2016. "I am very elated to have been selected for the sixth time," said the rider.
