In Vilamoura, the riders prepared for the main class of the day. The assignment was an 1.50m course against the clock. Twenty-six combinations stayed clear but no one managed to improve on Matthew Sampson's time.
Sampson's Ebolensky jumped clear in the unbeatable time of 61,07 seconds, which was fast enough to win. The rest of the podium colored French thanks to Gregory Cottard with Cocaine du Val and 62,69 seconds in second place and Marie Pellegrin with Boreale de Fondcombe and 63,14 seconds in third place.
The top five was completed by Barbara Schnieper with Escoffier and Michael Whitaker with Q Paravatti N.
