Spanish rider Gerardo Menendez Mieres has announced the sporting retirement of his championship horse Cassino DC (by San Patrignano Cassini). Cassino is 16 years old.
The duo defended the Spanish colours at several Nations Cups and the European Championship in Gothenburg in 2017. They won the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Gijon in 2017 and were part of the Spanish team that won the Nations Cup of Lisbon in 2015.
