Every year the number of entries for the Concours Hippique International de Genève (CHIG) grows every single year. It is clear that the impressive line-up of the event is a reflection of its continuing appeal to riders and their horses. The of the world will be at Palexpo this year, with over 100 athletes from 22 different nations are taking part in the jumping, indoor cross-country and driving World Cup events.
In this 60th edition of CHIG, held on 9-12 December 2021, spectators can look forward to an entire week of amazing topsport. Some of the world's best riders are gearing up to ride their harts out in Genève. Probably two of the most popular riders of the moment like Peder Fredericson and Henrik von Eckermann will be riding into the Swiss arena. These Olympic Champions who can call themselves number one and three in the world, will be fighting for victory next week in the 20th Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final. And as a cherry on top, Germany's Daniel Deusser, world's number two and winner of this year's Grand Prix of Aachen has his heart set on the Rolex Grand Prix trofee. It will take place on Sundag 12 December. Germany seems to be standing strong in Genève because top German riders Christian Kukuk, David Will and Christian Ahlmann will be there to defend the German flag.
Scott Brash, the only rider to ever win the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping will also be in attendance. Together with his fellow British rider Ben Maher they will be riding for victory. The Olympic duo Maher and legendary Explosion W will be honoring the crowd with their presence. Moving up to the United States of America, Kent Farrington, will also be present. He will be accompanied by some true girlpower by Laura Kraut and Jessica Springsteen. France can count on 2017 Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final winner Kevin Staut and also Roger-Yves Bost will be there to defend the French flag. For Brazil Pedro Veniss will also be lining up. A Selle François stallion, Quabri de L'Isle will be making his final competitive appearance in the ring.
