In the CHI Al Shaqab Grand Prix today, there where nothing but famous names on the start list. Daniel Deusser took home the first place with Killer Queen VDM, Max Kühner and Roger Yves Bost followed suit.

Several great names of the show jumping world appeared in this prestigious Grand Prix. We saw eight riders reappear in the arena for the jump-off: Scott Brash, Nicola Philippaerts, Julien Epaillard, Maurice Tebbel, Daniel Deusser, Roger Yves Bost, Christian Ahlmann and Max Kühner. The first place went to Deusser with Killer Queen VDM, a ten-year-old mare by Eldorado vd Zeshoek x For Pleasure. In 38.9 seconds, they were able to set the fastest clear time and took home the main prize of 135 300 euros. One other rider was faster: Julien Epaillard and Alibi de la Roque (Mylord Carthago) finished in 38.75 seconds, but four penalties sent the French duo to the seventh place.
Austrian rider Max Kühner put his faith in the Danish-bred Elektric Blue P, another offspring of Eldorado vd Zeshoek. They took the silver in 39.39 seconds. Roger Yves Bost and Sangria du Coty (Quaprice Bois Margot) sped to the bronze in 39.68 seconds.
The fourth place went to Christian Ahlmann with the black phenomenon Dominator 2000 Z (Diamant de Semilly). They were 0.21 second faster than Nicola Philippaerts with his Cardento-daughter Katanga vh Dingeshof.
