Francesca Ciriesi wins the CSIO5* openings class of St Gallen

In St Gallen, Switzerland, the four-day international competition has started today. On Monday the prestigious CSIO5* Nations Cup will take place but today the 5* riders could already warm up with a 1m40 class against the clock. No less than 33 combinations managed to clear the course and Francesca Ciriesi was the fastest, claiming first place. 

Italian rider Francesca Ciriesi was in the saddle of the 12-year-old Chacco's Boy (by Chacco-Blue). They flew clear through the course in a time of 56.91 seconds and nobody could beat that time. Hans-Dieter Dreher was in second place with Prinz 1293 (by Perigueux). They were able to finish the course in a time of 58.42 seconds. 

The Belgian Jos Verlooy was only slightly slower. With the 9-year-old BWP mare Next Funky de Muze (by Elvis ter Putte) he finished on a nice third place. Matias Larocca (Diablo Blanco) and Edy Tanner (Fittipaldi) completed the top five.
