In Montefalco the 4* 1m45 class was dominated by Italy. It was a class in two phases and in the end we had 17 double clear rounds. Guido Franchi proved to be the best in this class by winning it.
Franchi was in the saddle of Emeralds Dream, a nine year old son of Emerald Van't Ruytershof. They completed the second phase in a time of 26,52 seconds and that was simply unbeatable, which resulted in them winning the class.
But his fellow countryman Luca Marziani came very close. With the KWPN-gelding Don't Worry B (v. Numero Uno) he claimed the second place in 26,77 seconds. Pasquale Datena completed the podium with Folkert, another KWPN-gelding by Chello III.
Brazil finished in fourth place thanks to Mariana Frauches Chaves and Emerette (v. Diarado). Marta Bottanelli and Donner IK (v. Deauville van T&L) took fifth place.
