Earlier this week a CSIO3* Nations Cup was already on the programme at De Peelbergen but just now another highlight of the weekend was run: the 1m55 Grand Prix. Of the 55 starting combinations, 11 managed to jump a clear first round. A jump-off with eleven therefore had to determine winner and loser. In that jump-off there was very fast riding but in the end one man put the competition to shame: Gregory Wathelet. Riding Nevados S (by Calvados Z), Wathelet set a dazzling time (38.08 seconds) that no other combination was able to top.
Tom Wachman in turn rode Rock of Cashel (by VDL Bubalu) to second place. This Irish combination also managed to leave the wood untouched, finishing in 38.90 seconds. Philip Houston completed the top three. The darker counted on Sandros S Bella (by Sandro Boy) to jump clear in 40.25 seconds.
Argentina's Matias Larocca rode the KWPN stallion Ermindo W (by Singapore) to fourth place. Michael Cristofoletti completed the top five. He got a very fast time in the saddle of Everest DR (by Carthago Z) but a jumping fault threw a spanner in the works;
