Seppe Wouters ensured a Belgian victory in the second qualifier of the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship Final with the 6-year-old Libelle Asborne Z.
Seppe Wouters completed the 1m35 course flawlessly with Libelle Asborne Z, a daughter of Lector vd Bisschop and had a clear time with the Zangersheide mare bred by Asborne Bvba. A whole host of combinations followed after them but none of the nearly 200 horses could match their performance. The Haras de La Vie bred Hilton de La Vie, a Zangersheide gelding by Halifax van het Kluizebos, finished third under Maikel van Mierlo. Ahead of them at two came Niamh McEvoy with Boleybawn Alvaro (Dominator 2000 Z).
Alexander Housen scored a strong fourth place in the saddle of the Zangersheide stallion Kazandor Hero Z, an offspring of Kassander van't Roosakker from the stables of Luc Henry. The top five was concluded by another Zangersheide breeding product and was filled in by Diamond Pur U Z (Diamant de Semilly) with Maria Maintz.
88 5-year-olds remain clear in second qualifier
In the 5-year-olds, the group of clear combinations after the second qualification was smaller than in the first, with only 88 clear rounds recorded.
