Ireland’s Shane Breen and Jessica Springsteen (USA) show them who’s boss as they rock to victory in Paris

A fantastic performance from Tipperary’s Shane Breen and America’s Jessica Springsteen, daughter of rock legend Bruce Springsteen, has seen them take victory for Miami Celtics in today’s Global Champions League competition which was held at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

QUICK RESULT

1. Miami Celtics - 2 penalties, 147,87 seconds
2. St Tropez Pirates - 4 penalties, 143,07 seconds
3. Shanghai Swans - 5 penalties, 137,98 seconds

Breen and Springsteen were on a zero score in second place following Friday’s opening competition, slightly behind leaders St Tropez Pirates who had a faster time. Today’s decider saw Springsteen jump clear with RMF Zecilie, adding just a time fault. Breen matched that score when also finishing with a time fault aboard Ipswich Van De Wolfsakker to leave the Celtics on a final score of two faults. When St Tropez Pirates first rider, Edwina Tops-Alexander dropped a pole with Veronese Teamjoy, Miami Celtics were crowned winners. St Tropez Pirates finished as runners-up while Shanghai Swans took third place on the podium.

The Paris result moves the Miami Celtics team, which also includes Galway’s Michael Duffy, up to second place on the league table just three points behind leaders Shanghai Swans.
