Five consecutive wins for Isabell Werth in Amsterdam. With Weihegold OLD, she just won the Grand Prix dressage test at Jumping Amsterdam.
QUICK RESULT
1. Isabell Werth - Weihegold OLD
2. Charlotte Dujardin - Mount St John Freestyle
3. Emmelie Scholtens - Desperado N.O.P.
Isabell Werth won for the fifth time in a row the Grand Prix dressage test at Jumping Amsterdam. The judges awarded her and Weihegold OLD (by Blue Hors Don Schufro) with a whopping 83.565. Imke Schellekens Bartels, who commented live after each individual test, said that the piaffe and passage of Werth and Weihegold were "Brilliant".
Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St. John Freestyle (by Fidermark) come in second with 81.957%. Dujardin and her mare their strong suit is a very powerful canter, with great flying changes every stride and every other stride and very small pirouettes. They did lose some points in the piaffe, who was not always in a straight rythm.
That the bronze medal stays in the Netherlands is thanks to Emmelie Scholten and Desperado N.O.P. The Vivaldi-stallion and Scholtens score 77.70%, staying just in front of Jessica von Bredow-Werndl who received 77.391% with Zaire-E (by Son de Niro).
Von Bredow-Werndl stayed just in front of Dutch rider Edward Gal. Gal took the lead after the first break with Glock's Zonik N.O.P. (by Blue Hors Zack) and lost that lead after the second break. Gal and Zonik their trot is to die for, with lots of expression but had a tiny mistake going from the walk to the passage and in the flying changes every two strides.
Further in the ranking is Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH (by Dressage Royal) in sixth place, followed on seventh place by Charlotte Fry and Everdale (by Lord Leatherdale). Dorothee Schneider and DSP Sammy Davis JR (by San Remo) are in eight place, just in front of Dutch riders Hans Peter Minderhoud aboard Glock's Dream Boy N.O.P. (by Vivaldi) and MDH Avanti N.O.P. (by United).
As it are the best fifteen combinations who will re-enter the competition ring for the Freestyle saturday afternoon, the ten riders already mentioned will have the company of Dutch riders Denise Nekeman and Adeline Cornelissen, German rider Sönke Rohtenberger, Italian Francesco Zaza and Danis rider Lone Bang Larsen.
