Isabell Werth's Weihegold OLD retired

In Leipzig, the equestrian world has officially said goodbye to dressage horse Weihegold OLD (by Blue Hors Don Schufro). Isabell Werth created a furore with the mare at the very highest level and rode their last performance tonight in the FEI Dressage World Cup Final Grand Prix Freestyle.

Her groom Steffi Wiegard, with the help of friends and fellow equestrians, made a farewell video for the seventeen-year-old mare who is ending a successful career in the sport in Leipzig. Weihegold will be used for breeding from now on. Almost all competitions where the mare was seen, she took home the highest score.
