Italy wins the Longines EEF Nations Cup of Athens

In Athens the Longines EEF Nations Cup was held over a height of 1m45 in two rounds. In the end it was team Italy, led by Chef d'Equipe Marco Porro, who jumped to first place. 

Team Italy won this Nations Cup with a total of eight penalty points. Emilio Bicocchi and Delirio Delle Sementarecce (v. Kapitol d'Argonne) stayed clear in the first round but had four faults in the second. Paolo Paini and Japonica di Ca'San Giorgio (v. Kannan) took care of the eliminated result in the first round with eight penalty points. In the second round they came out of the ring with four faults. Omar Bonomelli managed to deliver to clear rounds with Chippendel de la Tour (v. Conrad), which was a huge advantage for the team. Bruno Chimirri and Samara (v. Cardento) cleared the first round and in the second round they didn't even have to jump anymore. The eight penalty points were enough to win this Nation Cup. 

Greece jumped to the silver with 16 penalty points. Angelos Touloupis and Lord Mexx (v. Larimar) delivered two clear rounds. Emile Karim Fares en Captain Z (v. Lord Z) came out of both rounds with four faults. Ilias Baliousis and Casper d'Argouges (v. Tresor) took care of the eliminated result in both rounds. Yiannis Skandalis and Ego di Villagana (v. Canstakko) stayed clear in the first round en ended up with a eight points in the second round. 

Romania finished in third place with a total of 17 penalty points thanks to Lonut Ursache (Veni Vidi Vici), Luca Ruxandariu (Juggler), Damian Cojocariu (Lancor) and Ionel Bucur (Cassius S). That last combination didn't touch a single fence, they just got one point for time in the first round.
