Jane Richard starts Valkenswaard with a win

The first CSI5* in Valkenswaard has been ridden. The Danish Jane Richard took the victory in a very tight second fase. 

Richard jumped Fouego de la Closiere (v. Nabab de Reve) without any faults over 2 fases. They were closely followed by Yuri Mansur and Away Semilly (v. Diamant de Semilly) and took second place. Bertram Allen was also close to the others and finished third in the saddle of Emmylou (v. Lupin Z). 

John Whitaker tried to beat the top 3 with Sharid (v. Toulon) but had to settle for fourth place. Following in fifth position was Spencer Smith. He rode Copernicus (v. Camaro M) into the top 5.
