The last competition day of the week is drawing to a close in Oliva. The sporting highlight of the week was just awaited: the 1.50m Grand Prix. Besides victory and a nice prize money, there were also Longines Ranking Points to be collected in the class.
A nice number of 13 combinations made it to the jump-off, which turned out to be not that easy. Only four of them had a clear round and therefore a chance of winning.
With three clear French combinations, it seemed that the entire podium would be occupied by the French colours, but Harry Charles thought otherwise. The young British rider went clear with Aralyn Blue in just 39.81 seconds. He had to beat Julien Epaillard, who led the lap of honour with Billabong du Roumois and a time of 38.37 seconds. Bronze went to Mathilde Couturier and Carlotta de Labarde.
Fourth and fifth places went to Michel Robert with Bingo Del Tondou and Jerome Guery with Grupo Prom Diego.
