Marc Houtzager wins World Cup leg of Amsterdam

The last class of this weekend in Amsterdam was the World Cup leg. Marc Houtzager won this class for the hosting country.

With only nine combinations in the jump-off, it was bound to become a thrilling jump-off. Marc Houtzager was the sixth rider to re-enter the arena, and was able to beat Harrie Smolders' time of 35,03 seconds. With Sterrehof's Dante (Canturano), he took the first place in 34,05 seconds. Smolders finished second with Monaco (Cassini II). 

Pieter Clemens, for Belgium, took the third place in 35,18 seconds. Last to go in this jump-off was his compatriot Niels Bruynseels with Gancia de Muze (Malito de Reve). They took the fourth place in a clear 35,33 seconds, Marcus Ehning and Calanda (Calido I) completed the top five.
