Marcus Ehning claims victory on Dutch turf in CSI5*-W of Amsterdam

Although no less than five Dutch riders got to the jump-off in the CSI5*-W 1,50m of Amsterdam, only Gerco Schröder managed to jump to the top five. The victory went to German rider Marcus Ehning with A La Carte NRW (Abke 4).

Ehning took the lead pretty quickly aboard A La Carte NRW, a twelve-year-old son of Abke 4. They left quite some space between themselves and the competition with a time of 36,1 seconds. Compatriot Philipp Weishaupt managed to get dangerously close with Coby (Contagio; 36,12 seconds resulted in a second place. Eoin McMahon and Chacon (Chacco-Blue) got Irish bronze in 37,93 seconds. 

The fourth place was for Portugal. Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida sent GB Celine (Cardento) a bit faster through the jump-off course than home rider Gerco Schröder and Glock's Champblanc. They finished fifth in 38,43 seconds.
