Peder Fredricson is the 2021 Global Champions Tour winner

What a night! The battle was on between number one Peder Fredricson and number two Ben Maher...

In order for Maher to win, he had to win this Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix here in Samorin AND Fredricson couldn't be in the top ten. If one of these conditions wasn't the case, Fredricson would be crowned as Longines Global Champions Tour winner of 2021.

Fredricson went in first with H&M All In. With them having two down, chances for Ben Maher to win suddenly became bigger. Nevertheless, luck didn't seem on their side as Maher and Explosion W left the arena with 12 points.

Like that, Peder Fredricson was officially crowned the winner of the 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour.

As for this Grand Prix, Henrik von Eckermann won the class with King Edward. In the jump-off they jumped clear in 37,22 seconds, which was only just enough to win from Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and Like A Diamond van het Schaeck, who ended in second place. Marice Tebbel en Don Diarado completed the podium with a time of 39,61 seconds.
