Leprevost thus kept world number one Henrik von Eckermann behind her. The Swede had Iliana (by Cardento) under the saddle and finished in 56.40. The top three was complete with Romain Duguet and Bel Canto de Boguin (by Grenat de Grez) running the clock in 57.08. Kevin Jochems had saddled Gijs (by Kashmir van Schuttershof) to jump against the clock. The 12-year-old stallion crossed the finish line in 58.66, which eventually proved to be good for fourth place while Jack Whitaker got to close out the top five in the saddle of Spider (by Cardento).
