The five star competition of the Gothenburg Horse Show has kicked off! As one of the last chances for the riders to take points for the Longines World Cup Ranking, Pius Schwizer takes a head start and won the 5* 1.45m Opening Class in Sweden.
With obstacles at 1.45m height, 44 rider and horse combinations were present to open the 5* competition at the Gothenburg Horse Show. In this competition against the clock, Pius Schwizer rode the fastest round and secured the win on Ambrosio d'Alcy (v. Cabdula du Tillard). Until almost the end, the Belgian Thibeau Spits was in second position with Juragold Bormes (v. Contact van de Heffinck) but then Henrik von Eckermann came on to the scene. In the saddle of Dzara Dorchival (v. Qlassic Bois Margot) the World's Nr. 1 made the second position his and pushed Spits to third place.
On four we saw Richard Howley with Mansini Ltd (v. Caressini L) followed by Erica Swartz and Jovita (v. Carabas vd Wateringhoeve) on five.
