Saturday's second to last class 5*-W jumping class of Riyadh was won by Stefan Eder, riding Dr Scarpo (v. Sandro Boy). A total of 5 of the 24 combinations riding this Longines Ranking class jumped clear in the first round.
The other combinations struggled to keep up with Eder's pace and those who could follow didn't manage to stay clear. Eder's winning time was set on 40,37 after a clear round. Abdullah Alsharbatly was the only other rider who kept his horse clear over the two courses and was rewarded with a second place on Quincy 230 (v. Quintender 23). The Egyptian Mouda Zeyada had two seconds less on the clock but Katia (v. Emerald) knocked one pole down leaving them in third place.
Saad Alajmi finished fourth on Freedom (v. Eldorado vd Zeshoek) followed by Omer Karaevli on Policeman 2 (v. Perigueux), who was the fifth and last rider of the jump-off.
