Zirocco Blue VDL, the top stallion of the Dutch rider Jür Vrieling, jumped to the top of the placings the last couple for years. This year he got the titel of 'prefered stallion' during the KWPN stallion show, meaning he is now at the op of the sport and breeding.
The family Van de Lagegweg bought the stallion as a two year old. The saw him for the first time in France in 2006: "We bought Zirocco as a two year old from the breeder himself. We were looking for a young stallion and he was just rioght. With top stallions such as Mr. Blue, Le Tot de Semilly, ... in his blood, he was immediately very interesting for us," van de Lageweg, says.
When Jür Vrieling rode the stallion for the first time as a 4-year old, he immediately had big hopes for the stallion and he was right! The dutchman jumped the white stallion to the highest level, winning several Grand Prix', Nations Cups, ... Vrieling says that this stallion is super careful which he also showed at the Olympics of 2016.
