Highway vd Padenborre triumphs again

VillamouraYesterday the Young horses started their last day in the Portuguese competition of Vilamoura. Scooboe is Our Man rode a victorious round with the Irish rider Gerard Clarke in the lass for the 5-year-old horses. This already for the third time this year. In a time of 64:75 seconds they were almost 5 seconds faster as Luis Sabino Gonçalves and Ideal. British rider Philip Spivey ended on the third place with Darya I Nur. Also without faults were Chloe Aston and Cavada Z, Anoek de Ruijter and Deauville and Dutch Eurohorse-rider Harrie Smolders wint Danturo B. The class for 6-year-old horses was riden in two phases. Portuguese Luis Sabino Gonçalves and the Belgian bred of Diamant de Semilly, Hemingway vd Padenborre finished first after a clear round in 34:31 seconds. With a difference of plus two seconds the Dutch rider Anouk de Ruijter and Con Carlos (s. Ginos) followed in second place before Darragh Ryan and Covers Chip (s. Chippison). Only this top 3 made the finish without any time or other faults. With the seven-year-old horses the French riders dominated the ranking. With no less than six 'Frenchies' in the top ten the victory was for Julien Gonin and Star de la Beviere (s. Jazz Band Courcelle). Pénélope Leprevost and Sultane des Ibis (s. Quidam de Rêvel) ended second while Olivier Robert was happy with his third place. On the back of Symphonie d'Euskadi (s. Diamant de Semilly), Robert finished his Jump-off in 39:20 seconds.
