This watch could be Frédérique Constant’s “crowning” glory and is almost certain to become one of the fastest selling watches the company has ever produced. With jaw-dropping good looks and unbelievably easy functionality, the new Classics Manufacture Worldtimer will, without doubt, be in great demand in 2013.
Let’s start with the simplicity of the set-up and the ease of use. Would you like to know the time in Denver or Dhaka? What’s the time difference between Sydney and South Georgia, or Los Angeles and London? If it’s midnight in Moscow, what’s the hour in Honolulu?
With the Classics Manufacture Worldtimer, you can get the answer to any of those questions, and much more, with a quick glance at your wrist. The genius of this watch, however, is that all functions, including the date and the worldtimer function, are set up and adjusted through the watch’s crown! What could have been so complex has been made so simple; that’s the genius behind the all-new Classics Manufacture Worldtimer.
Smart and gorgeous? What’s not to love?
Now let’s get to those good looks. Frédérique Constant is thrilled to be offering two new models of the Classics Manufacture Worldtimer. Both come with three-part stainless steel cases, finished in beautiful, highly polished rose gold. The ever-popular crystal sapphire see-through case back has been retained for both models, allowing owners to watch the intricate inner workings of the 26 jewel, FC-718 caliber movement.
The first model, the FC-718MC4H4, comes with a Perlage and circular Côtes de Genève decoration on the movement. On the watch face, the gleaming silver dial features an intricate guilloché design at the center, surrounded by striking, hand-polished black oxidized hands and Roman numeral hour markers.
As well as the extra-large date counter at the six o’clock position, a 24-hour disc with day-night indicators surrounds the Roman numerals. Finally, around the outer edge of the watch face, the Worldtimer feature shows the time in 24 of the world’s greatest cities, all at the same time. So much information from just one glance...it’s truly incredible.
The package is completed by a gleaming black alligator leather strap with an RGP tongue buckle.
The second of the two new models is the FC-718WM4H4. Offering all the functionality and many of the same features as its “sibling,” this model’s dial features a stunning silver world map at its center. In addition, the polished hands are an elegant midnight blue colour, and the hour indexes are luminous.
The extra-large date counter, day-night indicator and Worldtimer cities feature all combine to give this model that always sought after “wow” factor. For this model, the alligator strap comes in a rich brown. Both of the new Worldtimer models are also water resistant to five atmospheres (50 metres below sea level).
