In Abu Dhabi, Bart Bles managed to secure a Dutch victory in this first class of the day. The riders were presented a challenging course over a height of 1.45m. Only eight of the 49 combinations managed to stay clear in the first phase and thus qualify for the jump-off.
Riding the KWPN stallion Grenoble Dn (by Gaillard de la Pomme) Bart Bles managed to record the winning time of 41.49 seconds. For Ireland Trevor Breen rode Germaine W (by Elodorado Vd Zeshoek) to second place. The duo crossed the finish line in 41.81 seconds. Abdurakhmon Abdullaev and Conlouba (by Contendros 2) completed the podium with a time of 43.10 seconds and took home the bronze ribbon.
Olivier Lazarus (Butterfly Ennemmel) took fourth place. Shane Breen (Lady Star van Dorperheide) followed in fifth place.
Besides his first place, Bart Bles also claimed a sixth place with Comme-Laude W (by Comme Il Faut 5).
