One of the highlights of the weekend was on the programme in Valkenswaard on Saturday evening: the Grand Prix of the CSI5* competition. The combinations were presented with a tough course but still ten combinations managed to get through the first round without any jumping faults. A jump-off with ten therefore had to decide the winner. In that jump-off, Sanne Thijssen managed to prove once again that her Con Quidam RB (by Quinar Z) is one of the fastest horses in the world and is completely at ease on a grass arena. The duo was able to keep the clear and finished in 38.10 seconds.

Max Kühner and Up Too Jacco Blue (by Chacco-Blue) took home second place. They were the last to enter the arena and did everything they could to still improve Thijssen's time. In the end, they clocked off in 38.84 seconds. Ben Maher and Dallas Vegas Batilly (by Cap Kennedy) completed the top three after a clear round in 39.33 seconds.
Edwina Tops-Alexander, jumping a home course here, followed in fourth place. She counted on Fellox Castlefield (by Je T'aime Flamenco) to jump a clear round in 40.52 seconds. Wilm Vermeir and Joyride S (by Toulon) completed the top five after a clear round in 41.35 seconds.
