Veni, vidi, vici: Von Eckermann and Glamour Girl win CSI5* ranking class of Rome

In Rome, the first weekend of the LGCT has just reached its end with a 1m50 section of the CSI5* competition. Twelve combinations were able to jump a clear first round. A jump-off with twelve had to decide who would go home with the victory and the largest number of ranking points. That winner was one of the riders in the shape of the moment: Henrik von Eckermann. He rode his 10-year-old Glamour Girl (by VDL Zirocco Blue) clear through the jump-off in 32.66 seconds.

Julien Epaillard and Calgary Tame (by Old Chap Tame) took home second place. The French combination left all the bars in the spoons and clocked off in 33.08 seconds. Emanuele Gaudiano and Nikolaj de Music (by Kannan) completed the top five. They jumped a clear round and stopped the chrono after 33.97 seconds.

Geir Gulliksen followed in fourth place. He counted on VDL Groep Quatro (by Quaprice Bois Margot) to jump a clear round in 35.87 seconds. Olivier Philippaerts and Miro (by Diamant de Semilly) completed the top five.
