This year's Fences Elite Auction is one to remember... Some highlights!

This year's auction was definitely one for the history books. By definition, each edition that ends belongs to history, but the 2022 Fences Auctions selection will be long remembered. The auction closed with a total turnover of 4.556.000,00 euro. For the first time in the history of the Fences Auctions, the million-euro mark in sales was passed on thursday.

The show opened on Wednesday. It began with an international auction battle right from the start. Black Jack DK Z (Black Cera DK Z x Clara d'Enfer) was highly wanted and was eventually sold for the stunning prize of 100.000 euro. Shortly after, the son of Cornet Obolensky and Bombe Atomique was sold for 50.000 euro. 23 of the 28 lots offered changed owners for a turnover of 660.000 euro, which was 9% more then the same evening the year before.

The following day, the real star of the auction presented herself. The mare out of El Barone exceeded the expectations and was sold for a whopping 150.000 euro. The bidding ended on the Internet and Guy Belooussoff was the one winning the battle for Herin Stables. Lots of other horses passed the 50.000 euro mark including Jarjar Binks Troteval (Ogiron des Champs) who auctioned for 90.000 euro, Chanel GPH (Nixon van t Meulenhof), Jaipur Seben (Untouchable 27) and many more.

Exports represent 41% of the total figure and went to the USA, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Spain and Morocco.

The third stage on friday marked the second time in the history of the auction to witness a 'Grand Slam' as the 32 horses presented found buyers for a total of 1.376.000,00 euro. Jumping Du Rozel (Candy de Nantuel) had the highest bid of 92.000 euro. Tattoo vd Bisschop (Chacfly PS) and Jailbreak d'Argance (Comilfo Plus Z) both raised a bid of 80.000 euro.

On the whole of the sales, a record percentage of 92% of horses were sold. Jazz Du Rouet (Dollar du Rouet) closed the saturdaynight being the top horse of the auction day with being sold for 145.000 euro. Jordan du Chalet (Candy du Nantuel) followed second with 72.000 euro.

The average price for the 3 years old was 44.000 euro, which marks a record in the history of the auction. We also note an increase of the online bidding system. All lots were subject of digital bids and 11 horses found their new owner online!
