Isabel Cool takes swinging win in Intermediaire I Freestyle

The six best couples of the Prix St. Georges rode the Intermediaire I Freestyle today. The victory went to Belgian Isabel Cool on Constand with 73,700 %, Jorinde Verwimp finished second with Wendor with 73,000 %. Isabel runs a professional dressage stable in Appels nearby Dendermonde, she trains horses, rides them in competition and teaches dressage. Mechelen is one of the high lights of the year for her. “I participated already two times in Mechelen with other horses and last year my horse got crazy in the Freestyle. This year I had the feeling that Constand was ready to come to Mechelen, he is only nine but he performed very well at several international shows this year. I bought him when he was 2,5 yrs old and trained him myself. I used to take lessons with Patrik Kittel, now I train with Sjef Janssen. Constand was outstanding in the young horses competitions and it seems that he has talent for the more difficult work. I hope to start him next year at Grand Prix level. He is cool and even in a special atmosphere like in Mechelen he goes for it.”
