It was a good start this morning for EuroHorse stables at Mechelen. In the opening class of the CSI5 * it was stable rider Harrie Smolders who blazed trough the course with Zinius to beat Jos Verlooy who finished in second and third place. Smolders and Nabab de Reve gelding that was formely ridden by Dutch rider Doron Kuipers showed their potential earlier this month in Paris and Geneva having some beautiful rides on CSI5* courses there. But today everything just fit perfectly and the duo won the test against the clock. In a flawless ride of 50.98 seconds he dropped Jos Verlooy down to second and third place. Until then Verlooy was firmly in the lead with his two horses Ferfelu La Pomme and Napa Valley. In the end Jos, who had a super ride aboard the Vigo D Arsoulles STX gelding Ferfelu La Pomme in 50.98 seconds finished up second. Whilst taking third place with Napa Valley after a clear round in 51.40 seconds just in front of Frenchman Mathieus for Billot. Go here to see all the results.
