The world top of young horses will start in Lanaken this week. Of the more than 190 participants in the first qualifying round of the World Championships for 7-year-olds, Thibault Philippaerts and Crystal Claire (Cristallo I) placed at the top of the standings.
In the first qualifying round of the World Championship for 7-year-old horses, only Belgian Thibault Philippaerts managed to clear the second in less than 29 seconds on the back of the young black SBS mare Crystal Claire. The silver went to the Dutchman Bas Moerings riding Kivinia (I'm Special de Muze). Italian Graziano Tazzi completed the podium in the saddle of the stallion Qu D.C. (Quod D.C.).
Just outside the top three, Gregory Wathelet, along with Flagship de Hus (Windows vh Costersveld), placed ahead of the Italian Giovanni Consorti and Kankan del Buttasella (Kannan).
