Abdullah Mohd Al Marri and Henrik von Eckermann battle for victory in Longines and Al Shira'aa Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi

It was an exciting day at the showgrounds of Al Shira'aa with spectacular showjumping competitions. The day finished with the Longines & Al Shira'aa Grand Prix. This 1m60 competition counted not only for the Longines Rankings but was part of the qualifiers for the Olympic Games of 2020.

It all came down between Abdullah Mohd Al Marri and Henrik von Eckermann who both gave it their all for the jump-off. In the end it was Mohd Al Marri who claimed victory aboard his Sama Dubai FBH (by Stakkato) with only 33.07 seconds on the clock. He shaved some important seconds from Eckermann's time who finished in second place aboard Peter Pan (by Perigueux) with 33.35 seconds. Following in third place it was Ramzy Al Duhami and Ted (by Waranta) with 33.32 seconds and 4 penalties.
Ahmad Saber Hamcho followed in fourth place aboard Lola V, while Irish rider Shane Breen took the fifth place with Colam (by Colestus).
