Alex Duffy has a new base, as he has started to work with his compatriot Bertram Allen. The 25 year old Irish rider has been working for Carl Hanley for the last three years, at his yard in Ostercappeln, Germany. Two weeks ago, Duffy moved himself 150 km to Allen's stable in Hünxe. "I had the time of my life at Carl and Nadja's yard, and I learned so much there – but I felt it was time to go a bit more independent which I have the possibility to now," Duffy explains. "I will be based here at Bertram's to work with him and for him – sharing the ride on the younger horses with Bertram himself, but I will also have the opportunity to ride for other owners alongside." Alex has already made his competition debut on Allen's horses, and won a 1.45 class on Wrangler II at the CSI2* show in Asten a little over one week ago.
