Allen and Lynch battle it out in Grand Prix Qualifier Eschweiler

In Eschweiler, the qualification of the Grand Prix has just been ridden. It was a 1m50 class, ridden in two phases. It became a very exciting dual with two Irish riders in the leading roles: Bertram Allen and Denis Lynch. Eventually it was the young Irish rider Bertram Allen who once again was the fastest. With Christy JNR under the saddle, he jumped a clear second phase in 25,93 seconds. With this time he beat Denis Lunch who ended on second place with Echo de Laubry. This combination jumped a clear second phase as well and finished in 26,36 seconds. Pius Schwizer completed the podium. He jumped a clear round with the 8-year old Cortney Cox (f. Carlo) in 26,93 seconds. The fourth place went to the German rider Michael Kölz. He and FST Dipylon (f. Dinglinger) left the wood untouched and finished in 26,93 seconds. Louise Simpson and Grafit (f. Kashmir Van Schuttershof) completed the top five. They cleared the course in 28,08 seconds.
