Alothain de Blondel jumps to first place in the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour

The first day of International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria was brought to a close by future hopes firm in the saddle. Thirty two professionals saddled up their seven to eight-year-old youngsters for the first competition of the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour. In this test over 1.35 m, 17 duos delivered penalty-free rounds, with a lively Newton de Kreisker descendant delivering the best time. Seven-year-old Alothain de Blondel, under Laura Renwick’s (GBR) saddle, showed plenty of skill over the course and impressed above all with a speed that seemed natural: “I can simply ride with him in his natural rhythm. He’s essentially very fast; it’s down to the pedigree.” commented Laura on her four-legged partner. Second place went to eight-year-old Zangersheide mare Caelle (v. Clinton), having been steered through the course by Laura Kraut (USA) in an error-free 62.96 seconds. The Holstein-bred stallion Candinas, (from Catoki) presented by Hans-Dieter Dreher, came third (0/63.61). 07 CSIYH1* GLOCK’s YOUNGSTER TOUR International jumping competition against the clock 1.35 m 1.
