American girl power in opening Nations Cup week Wellington

The eight week of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington is the week of marked by the FEI Nations Cup. In the CSIO Welcome class the USA-girlpower took over however Israel's Ashlee Bond took home the honors with Donatello 141.

The 1.45m openingclass was conquered by Israel's Ashlee Bond aboard her 8-year-old Diarado-gelding, Donatello 141. The pair speeded to victory with over five seconds difference on local female show jumping rider, Eve Jobs. Jobs settled as runner-up with her Limbrigde (Limbus). About a year ago, Limbridge was competed by Michael Hughes, riding for Ashford Farms. The stage was completed by New York's Georgina Bloomberg in the saddle of Cessna 25 (Contagio). Together with Eric Lamaze's former mare, Bloomberg was followed by Canada's Mario Deslauriers. Deslauriers completed the top five with Amsterdam 27 (Catoki) in fourth and Belgium-bred, Jamaica van Paemel (Cicero Z) in fifth. Results
