It was a difficult competition this morning in the CSI2* Grand Prix in Beervelde, Belgium. At the Flanders Horse Event the jumps were set at a height of 1.45m. Victory was for Belgian rider Thomas Leemans (Anuschka De Beclo) who was the only clear rider in the jump off with four. Last year it was Brasilian Joao Victor Castro who claimed victory, this year he ended second with Quarelie de la Louvet. The third spot was for the best female rider of the competition, Julie de Pelsmaeker. Together with the Belgian Warmbred Estoril 111 (by Action Breaker) she finished her jump off with 8 points. The last rider in the jump off was Joy Demuynck and Expensif Willy vh Polderhof (by Kashmir vh Schuttershof). The pair finished with 17 points. Fifth place was for the unfortunate American Lindsay Douglas. Together with her Berlin-mare Butterfly Tibri Z she left the wood untouched in the first round, unfortunately she exceeded the time allowed. click here for the results
