Belgian Jumping Team awarded in Mechelen

This morning at the CSI5* show in Mechelen, Belgium the award for 'Performance of the Year' went to the Belgian Show Jumping Team. The Team, managed by Chef d'équipe Dirk Demeersman, not only won the Europe Division 1 Nations Cup League but they also went on to win the Final in Barcelona. The VLP honored Demeersman along with his team of Gudrun Patteet, Olivier Philippaerts, Judy Ann Melchior, Gregory Wathelet and Jos Lansink. The VLP Award for ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ went to Ludo Philippaerts, while the young rider Jeroen Appelen was crowned ‘VLP Talent of the Year’.
