Belgian riders on top in Genk

At the twostar Grand Rrix in Genk, Belgium, it was Spruce's big winner, Pieter Devos who claimed victory with Couscous Van Orti (by Nabab de Rêve, owned by Luc van der Steichel). Of the 60 starters only 22 pairs were classified for the jump-off. Pieter Devos finished in 31:27 seconds, almost 50 seconds faster as Catherine Van Roosbroeck and her Calumet (s. Joyeux Ardent). The former Belgian Champion, Koen Vereecke and Allegro C Van De Donkhoeve (by Mr Blue) made it to the third place after a clear round in 32:29 seconds. The top five of this international competition was completed by Thomas De Wit (D-Armel Van 't Kamerveld) and Dries Dekkers (Buzzlines Tornado IV).
